Cody ChesnuTT - "Gunpowder On The Letter"

There is huge problem with lyrical continuity.  Verses 1 & 2 are pure anti-war protest song (although I can't make out whether his best friend's death was associated with war).  Verse 3 laments the struggles of a new musician and ends with an indictment against the government that references a traditional patriotic song (Like we used to know what 'just' war and government were.)

Read the lyrics first (below) and then give it a listen.  The musical elements are outstanding.

"Scarecrow" by the Alex & Sierra

This is a good old-fashioned love song:  sickeningly sweet, ridiculously naive lyrics that are filled with cliches and that have vague references to an old iconic movie.  The song is terribly derivative (the video features muppets in a park) and is totally unoriginal, but it has some redeeming features also - if you can get over the sentimentalism and 'cute-ness'.

The beat is contagious and I really like the chorus:  "I just want to believe in you and me."

Give it a listen.

Recipe: Awesome Sandwich!

Sandwiches!

One of the most versatile food.  They are transportable, easy to take with you when you aren't eating at home.  Great for picnics and can be very cute and dainty at dinner parties.

So, I'm going to give you the recipe for the best sandwich evar!

1 egg
2 slices of bologna
1 slice of cheese - swiss, or provolone, or your favorite
2 slices of bread

Saute the bologna till slightly brown.  Make a fried egg.  Then assemble everything on the bread like a grilled cheese sandwich with bologna and egg.  Butter both sides of the bread and cook until the cheese is melted and bread is toasted.  Enjoy!

What is your favorite sandwich?
